Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) — I remade a few frames of the film's opening scene for a university style exercise.

The aim was to reproduce the images of the scene as precisely as possible, visually speaking.

How It Was Made
I analysed the details of the original frames, working out which objects were visible and what could stand in for them. I carried the cushions of my sofa to the university studio in shopping bags and wrapped them in curtains taken down from my flat — those became the seats. The gear stick was made from a metal rod pulled out of a shoe rack, the aluminium cup of a tea light and some black insulating tape. The steering wheel we shaped from the rubber track of a camera dolly. I used a projected background, and took the rear-view mirror off my grandparents' car.
